Srinagar, Sept 28: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday said that the Lashkar-e-Taiba was behind the brutal killing of Border Security Force (BSF) Constable Mohammad Ramzan Parray. The police said that three to four terrorists entered Parray’s house in Bandipora and fired at him indiscriminately. While Ramzan Parray died on the spot, his father and three relatives are critically injured.

Hunt on for the 3-4 terrorists who belong to Lashkar-e-Taiba
There were 3-4 terrorists who first attacked him with knife and then fired indiscriminately,” said IG, North Kashmir, Nitish Kumar. “Prima facie we know that Lashkar-e-Taiba’s Mohammed Bhai and his aides were behind the attack,” he added.
The 31-year-old BSF constable was deployed with the border-guarding force’s 73rd battalion and had come home to Bandipora on leave. His family is in mourning while there are gunshot-marks and blood stains all over his house.
The police have launched a hunt for the terrorists and hope to nab them soon. The Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police, S P Vaid, termed the incident as “barbaric and inhumane” and said the guilty would be punished.
The barbaric killing of Constable Parray came months after Lieutenant Ummer Fayaz Parry was killed by terrorists. In May this year, Lt Fayaz was kidnapped from a wedding reception, and brutally murdered by terrorists belonging to Lashkar-e-Toiba and Hizbul Mujahideen. The 22-year-old, who had also returned on a vacation, belonged to the troubled region of Kulgam in South Kashmir. The young officer was commissioned into the Army in December last year.
